Okay, admittedly: Hannover is not as cool as New York and not as romantic as Paris. But definitely underestimated. In addition to half-timbered buildings in the old town, opera, theaters and shopping opportunities, the city offers a museum landscape with an excellent reputation. Perhaps the most important feature: Hannover is the greenest city in Germany. The “Eilenriede”, the largest city-forest of Hanover, is almost twice as large as the Central Park in New York. And the 2,5 kilometer-long Maschsee is right in the city center. Walking, jogging, skating, biking, sailing and swimming in the heart of a big city – in Hannover no issue. And recently Hanover is also Germany’s nature conservation capital. Hanover is the location of several universities, enjoys a lively arts and cultural scene and has a lively range of gastronomy and nightlife.
